The first in a series of four artworks celebrating the seasons and ceremonies surrounding them - Dark Raven Chronicles

Sebak is a student of magic and has waited all night in absolute stillness for the sun to rise on the spring equinox. When the first sunlight gleams off his sword blade then spring is recognized as having come at last and winter is over for another year. Sebak's coven-father, Wayto, oversees the ceremony. Although small in stature, Wayto's wisdom is testament to decades of mindfulness and discipline in magic. Roshim completes the sun's welcome by lighting incense burners around the coven-temple. The mountain village of Starwall is seen on the slopes below.
